Wooden base tutorial

1) Here is a guide to make nice looking wooden bases for your miniatures, first cut some cardboard the size of your base ( I used a 25mm base used for Warhammer) any base round or square can be used but for a round base I recommend to draw the circle before cutiing.
2) Cut the borders to define the edges of the base, to cut I used an exacto knife which I think most miniature collectors have.
3) Cut the wooden tiles the size you want, divide the cardboard nicely in evenly planks, with the none cutting side of the exacto knife you can make the wood nerve.
4) well now you have it ready, start painting it with a brown wash and make sure you cover the grooves. Then highlight with bleached bone. and in the end glue your miniature on it and voila…..one nice looking miniature base.
